DeLorean car replica installed at longtime Future Auto Repairs in Bossier
BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) – A longtime repair shop in Bossier City is gaining some newfound attention after installing a famous car from an iconic movie at the shop.
The Future Auto Repairs on Benton Road installed a DeLorean car replica right out front. This Delorean is from the Back to the Future movies, specifically the second one.
The movie is about a teenage boy traveling through time using a time machine that his mad scientist friend made out of a DeLorean car.
Not only is it a classic movie from the 80s, it’s also the owner’s inspiration for the future of his repair shop. James Scotto says he uses it as his vision for the business because they are the future.
“Kept stuff like that around, subconsciously pushing towards that goal of changing the way people view our industry and be the future of auto repair. That’s what it’s really there for,” Scotto said.
Scotto says his grandfather first opened the repair shop in 1955. The business is seventy years old now, and Scotto says he’s revamping the shop to keep up with the technology driven market
Katie Keeble, a bartender from the bar next door said the patrons like seeing it, especially when it’s lit up at night. She also said she takes her kids here.
