Mitsubishi is recalling more than 91,000 Outlanders because of faulty gas spring cylinder, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Mitsubishi recalls Outlanders
Mitsubishi is recalling 91,697 2018-2022 Outlander PHEV and 2014-2020 Outlander vehicles sold or currently registered in Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The liftgate gas spring cylinders may corrode and lose pressure, which can result in a gas spring cylinder rupture or the liftgate falling unexpectedly.
MMNA will replace the left and right liftgate gas springs, free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed on Oct. 6. Owners may contact MMNA customer service at 1-888-648-7820. MMNA’s number for this recall is SR-25-002.

Chrysler recalls Jeep Wranglers
Chrysler is recalling 78,989 2024-2025 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The remote start antenna cable may be pinched, which can cause the tire pressure monitoring system warning light not to illuminate as intended.
Dealers will inspect and replace the remote start antenna cable as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on Sept. 2. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC’s number for this recall is 56C.
Chrysler is also recalling 2,885 2026 Ram 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis, 2500, 4500 Cab Chassis, and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles. The instrument panel may display an incorrect brake system warning light.
Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 25. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 79C.

Mercedes-Benz recalls vehicles for steering issue
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2023-2026 EQE and GLC vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. The steering coupling bolt may have been improperly tightened, allowing the steering coupling to loosen from the steering rack.
